Dr. Tarika Sandiford always knew she wanted to be a vet. Growing up in the DuPage area, she volunteered at many local veterinary hospitals including Willowbrook Wildlife Center. She then moved to Scotland for 5 years to complete her degree at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh. Her international experiences and expertise are now focused on caring for your family and your furry companions.

Her areas of special interest include exotic and wildlife medicine, preventative medicine, senior pets, and behavior.

Dr. Sandiford understands that visiting the vet can be a frightening experience for pets (and sometimes their family). No matter the circumstances, Dr. Sandiford is committed to providing high quality care while minimizing your pet’s stress during their time at Naperville Animal Hospital.

In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, baking, and traveling - both locally and abroad.
