Schertz_iStock_000011076233_LargeOur affiliation with the American Association of Feline Practitioners is one we take very seriously, and our standards for quality care aim to exceed clients’ expectations. Each and every day, we strive to make a difference in lives of all pets in need of veterinary care, and applying our expertise to your feline is a top priority.

But what, exactly, does it mean to be a feline friendly vet? For starters, we get down on whisker-level to truly place ourselves in your cat’s paws, and make adjustments accordingly.

A Passion For Cats!

Although we love and support the health of dogs, birds, reptiles, and pocket pets, we are also genuinely concerned for the wellbeing of sensitive cats. From the feline perspective, getting loaded up, carted off, and examined at a foreign, frightening medical clinic is enough to traumatize a cat, and those negative emotions most certainly inform future experiences.

Our staff has many years of collective experience dealing with the subtle signs of feline anxiety or fear, and can quickly recognize the individual behavioral cues of your visiting cat. Our Pet Experts are committed to the highest levels of feline medicine; and examinations, procedures, and hospitalizations are of the utmost importance to our team.

There are many benchmarks for us in order to safely and adequately meet the unique needs of our feline friends, and possibly the most important one is the waiting room. We work hard to create a calm, quiet atmosphere for all visiting pets, and cats in particular.

Furthermore, you may schedule an appointment for your cat during the more peaceful hours between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. We are tuned into when the busiest times are and staff accordingly, so your cat’s wait will be kept to a minimum.

Feline-Friendly Vet

As a clinic devoted to the health and wellbeing of all pets, and especially cats, we are fully equipped to support feline medicine, appropriately and compassionately handle cats, and have the resources to share with cat owners how to offer the best feline care at home.

Once strategies are in place to just get your cat here with us, you can be sure that our feline-friendly vet practice combines our appreciation for your cat with preventive care, early diagnosis, and education toward a longer, happier life.

Boarding Practices

An extension of our feline-friendly vet hospital is our boarding department. It’s never easy finding someone to cat sit while you’re out of town, and we’d love to help you out at our facility. Cats are boarded separate from dogs, and with our Kitty Condos, your cat can lap up the luxury while away from home. When not playing with one of our caring staff members, your cat can play or snooze in his or her own space with a private litter box.

Wellness Counts

Beyond our feline-friendly approach, we are centered on your cat’s health and offer specially-designed wellness packages for whatever stage of life your cat is in. From initial parasite prevention, spay/neuter procedure, and microchipping to long-term nutritional support, vaccinations, or emergency care, we are the feline-friendly vet for you.

Please let the Pet Experts at Naperville Animal Hospital know if you have any questions; we are here to serve you and your precious feline!
