If you’re a dog owner, chances are you’ve seen your pooch nibble on a few blades here and there. Maybe your dog eats and swallows grass, or maybe just gives it a few chews and spits it out, but either way you’ve likely wondered why this supposed carnivore on the end of your leash seems to be drawn to the green stuff.
Client education is important to us at Naperville Animal Hospital. We’ve delved into the topic of why dogs eat grass with the hopes of shedding some light on this interesting dog behavior.
From all the cuddles and snuggles to the endless companionship, the benefits of adopting a pet are pretty clear. In fact, the pros of pet ownership are so attractive to prospective pet guardians that the cons aren’t always carefully considered. However, the truth is that adopting a pet is a sizable commitment that requires a great deal of forethought. The Pet Experts at Naperville Animal Hospital believe in the power of adoption – if it’s the right time for everyone involved.
What to Know
Sometimes, an animal comes into someone’s life without invitation. This can definitely work out positively, but it’s more common for families or individuals to seek out the pet of their dreams.
We accept walk-ins during our Doctor's Hours to meet your busy lifestyle. If you’d prefer to make an appointment, we offer those too!
